The ‘Fine Dining EP’ is another audaciously scorching collaboration from Scope, this time in cahoots with long-standing Shindig resident Mark Lowry. Both tracks stand out for their masterfully layered composition, rich musicality and hint of Balearic warmth. Nourishing and enticing summer fare lovingly prepared by two astute connoisseurs.

Released: 17th August 2009
Demarkus Lewis and Michael Shilling (aka DJ Mike London) have put their heads together to create an imperturbable summer’s antidote to busyness and bustle. Sauntering at a languorous pace ‘Brainwaves’ draws the listener along into the depth of its serene musical oasis. On the remix, Stephen Lopkin adds a little Latin vigour and electronic debauchery to shake things up and provide something for the less salubrious night-time setting.

Released: 13th July 2009
Stephen Lopkin returns to follow up the brilliantly eccentric ‘Frantic EP’ with a sterling four-tracker that emphatically demonstrates that the boy means business. The ‘Deux EP’ is more obviously dancefloor, yet once again it displays the versatility and veritable talent and innovation of the newcomer. Lopkin continues to impress – we can’t wait for the album!

Seattle’s Pezzner is the new darling of deep house. If you needed any more proof of his worth, the ‘Logan EP’ is corroborating evidence. Masterfully produced with refreshing tenderness and feeling, the EP brings together bobbing grooves, hypnotic percussion and strong melodies to bedazzling effect. Guilty as charged, Your Honour.
